Sun Submarine Cable (Dongshan) Co., Ltd. is a company jointly invested and established by Fujian Nanping Sun Cable Co., Ltd., Fujian Three Gorges Group, Zhangfa New Energy, and Dongshan Kaitou Group in response to the national carbon peak and carbon neutrality policies, implementing the national "dual carbon" strategy and the overall deployment of "extending, supplementing, and strengthening the chain" proposed by the Fujian Provincial Government for the offshore wind power industry.

The company owns 297 acres of construction land with a total investment of 1.906 billion yuan for the project. A new ultra-high voltage tower and a medium voltage catenary tower will be built, with a horizontal factory building of about 100000 square meters. The production line will use world leading equipment, and 8 medium, high, and ultra-high voltage submarine cable production lines will be constructed. After the project is completed, it will produce submarine power cables of 750kV and below, submarine optoelectronic composite cables, flexible DC submarine cables, and land high-voltage cables of 110kV and above, forming an annual production capacity of 1200km of submarine power cables and 200km of land high-voltage cables. With an annual output value of 3.2 billion yuan, it is currently the only submarine cable R&D and manufacturing company in Fujian Province. It has the largest vertical cable forming machine in China, the industry's first 169 disc frame winch, and a self built 30000 ton submarine cable dedicated dock.
